Stepped-cooling Control System
Stepped-cooling control system adjusts the flow rate of different engine cooling circuits connected to the thermal management module (replacing the electronic thermostat) by controling the position of stepped-cooling valves according to the operating status of the engine. This function allows more precise and efficient adjustment according to the engine's operating status, reducing energy loss, lowering fuel consumption and extending engine life.
Structure of Stepped-cooling Control System
The engine employs a stepped-cooling control system, the main components of which are a thermal management module and a chamber with a rotary slide valve. The thermal management module is a new type of electric thermostat that replaces the traditional electronic thermostat.

Thermal Management Module Specifications
The electric drive of a thermal management module consists of a DC motor, a variable speed mechanism and a position sensor as shown in Figure 1. The control unit uses the DC motor to adjust the position of the rotary slide valve within a defined range, which is monitored by the sensor.
